Am Sonntag den 10.12.2017 hatte sich der Nikolaus im TC BW Castrop 06 angekündigt.
Der Sonntag begann zunächst mit einem Kleinfeldturnier. 1. wurde Johannes Vogel 2. Ben Thurm und 3. Finnja Meschede-Isbruch. Insgesamt namen 28 Kinder an dem Kleinfeldturnier teil.
Ab 15.00 Uhr wurde unser Clubhaus in eine große Weihnachtsbäckerei "verwandelt" .
Um 17.00 Uhr kam dann für 41 Kinder der vollbepackte Nikolaus mit Knecht Ruprecht. Es hatte rechtzeitig angefangen zu schneien, so dass der Schlitten in Obercastrop geparkt werden mußte.

Am gestrigen Skatabend wurden nach 5-stündigen Reizen folgende Sieger ermittelt:
1. Udo Letzing
2. Udo Viel
3. Klaus Dongowski
Auf eine Revanche wird 2018 gewartet!!!!!!
Luzie Brinkhoff und Finnja Meschede-Isbruch wurden 4. und 5. beim Red-Cup des Ruhr Lippe Bezirks in Buer-Bülse am 03.12.2017. Zugelassen waren alle Kinder des Jahrgangs 2010.

Nachdem nun alle Medenspiele der Sommersaison gespielt wurden, startete am Wochenende die Clubmeisterschaft des TC 06. Die erste Paarung der Damen fand am Sonntag um 16 Uhr auf unserer Clubanlage statt.
Komplett in Castroper Hand war die Konkurrenz der Herren 60 bei den 53. Offenen Wuppertaler Tennisstadtmeisterschaften.
Im Finale konnte Volker Brinkhoff vom TC BW Castrop-Rauxel 06 seinen Mannschaftskollegen Dieter Düwel mit 6:4;6:4 bezwingen. Beide Spieler, die der Westfalenliga-Mannschaft des TC 06 angehören (Volker Brinkhoff an Nr. 1 und Dieter Düwel an Nr. 3) konnten durch klare Halbfinalerfolge ins Endspiel einziehen,
Volker Brinkhoff setzte sich mit 6:0;6:0 gegen Volker Röder vom Gastgeber Wuppertaler TC Dönberg durch, während Gerd Glimpel von Gold-Weiß Wuppertal beim 3:6;1:6 gegen Dieter Düwel das Nachsehen hatte..
Das Finale verlief recht ausgeglichen. Im ersten Satz konnte sich Dieter Düwel nach einem 2:5-Rückstand auf 4:5 herankämpfen, dann gelangen Volker Brinkhoff die entscheidenden Punkte zum Satzgewinn.
Auch der zweite Satz war umkämpft, wobei Brinkhoff wiederum das bessere Ende für sich hatte.
Bei den letztjährigen Wuppertaler Stadtmeisterschaften konnte Dieter Düwel ebenfalls die Vizemeisterschaft erringen, wobei er dem Essener Gerhard Mans unterlegen war. Beide TC 06-Spieler konnten sich über wichtige Punkte für die Deutsche Rangliste freuen.
